Bruce Rogers has been in the private practice of law for 27 years. Bruce handles litigation in all courts from Delaware’s Justice of the Peace Court to the United States Supreme Court. Bruce frequently litigates in the areas of family, criminal, civil , and personal injury cases. Bruce is trained in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and is approved by the American Bar Association and Superior Court as a Mediator/Arbitrator. Bruce has held the post of Deputy Legal Counsel to Delaware Governor Michael N. Castle, during which he worked extensively with a variety of issues as they relate to state, local, and federal government.

Bruce formerly served as one of two attorneys named as Delaware Code Revisors. He was responsible for overseeing the editorial process of codification of Delaware laws which are signed by the governor and the production of the Delaware Code. Bruce was also responsible for preparation of supplements to and revisions of the Delaware Code (Laws of Delaware).

Bruce was one of two attorneys selected to participate in the pilot program, Delaware Family Court – Termination of Parental Rights Project, under the auspices of the Delaware Supreme Court, to provide legal services to parents whose children have entered the foster care system, up to and throughout the termination of the parental rights stage.

In addition to his Juris Doctor, Bruce has earned his PhD in political science/political theory and has taught courses in the areas of political science, business law, constitutional law, and real estate law for University of Delaware, Wilmington University, and Delaware Technical and Community College. He is the editor for the Delaware Law Review, Center Fellow with the Churchill Centre, and Assistant Editor and Vice-Chairperson with the ABA – Section of Torts and Insurance Practice.

Bruce continues to advise candidates and elected officials in all aspects of their pursuits, from the decision to run for office, throughout the election cycle, and into office. Bruce’s political clients serve in all levels of government.

Bruce presently serves as lead pastor at the Long Neck United Methodist Church, having been assigned there July 1, 2016. As pastor, Bruce leads the congregation in worship and spiritual development, while continuing progress towards a master’s degree in divinity. Bruce was previously assigned to the Ellendale Charge of the United Methodist Church, serving the churches of St. Johnstown, Chaplains Chapel, and Ellendale.
