BIO

With nearly two decades of experience in all aspects of family law, Ed has developed a distinguished practice focused on sophisticated litigation, from complex financial issues to challenging child custody matters.  He is also experienced in international custody litigation under the Hague Convention. Ed represents clients throughout Massachusetts, across the country, and around the world in matters in the Massachusetts state and Federal Courts.    

Ed is often called upon by local and national media outlets to provide legal analysis and perspective on family law issues   He also lectures on financial issues in family law.  Consistently selected over ten years by Law & Politics as a MA Super Lawyers “Rising Star,” Ed has been featured in Boston Magazine.  

As a Trustee of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation, Ed helps oversee grantmaking to expand access to legal services.  He previously served on the Board of Directors for RESPOND, Inc., New England’s first domestic violence agency.  After serving on the Town of Wakefield's Finance Committee, Ed was elected as a Town Councilor, a position he currently holds, and was selected to serve a term as Council Chairman.


In his free time Ed enjoys snowboarding, running marathons, and competing in sprint triathlons.
