Our Story

The Law Offices of Randy W. Medina, APLC, was founded in 1998, with the mission of providing solutions for clients going through challenging times in divorce, parentage and other related family law matters. Navigating the legal system can be daunting for anyone. However, with experienced and knowledgeable legal counsel by your side your legal matters can be resolved efficiently and professionally. We are experienced with an in-depth knowledge of family law. We will be up-front and honest with you about your case, exploring all of your available options and will tailor our legal representation to your individual needs. Whether you are going through a divorce or involved in another family law matter, we have the skills and experience to effectively advocate on your behalf both in settlement negotiations and if necessary at contested hearings or trial.

Mr. Medina was born in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from Cathedral High School, he enlisted in the United States Army as a Military Policeman. He was stationed in Baumholder, West Germany. After his Army stint, Mr. Medina attended and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California (USC). Fight On! Mr. Medina then joined the ranks of Los Angeles’ finest as a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. He eventually attained the rank of sergeant before enrolling in law school. Mr. Medina earned his law degree at the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law (UCLA).

Mr. Medina began his practice in Los Angeles handling various civil matters. He eventually began to focus on divorce and family law cases and divorce and family law soon became his specialty. Mr. Medina is a State Bar of California, Certified Family Law Specialist. Certification requires extensive education and experience in the field of family law, completion of a second specialized bar examination, high ethical standards, and a positive peer review by other attorneys and judges.
