After 41 years, Vivian L. Holley, JD, MA of practicing mediation and family law has retired. She is a licensed attorney practicing in California and she was a California State Bar Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS) 1984-2019. Ms. Holley was a licensed Marriage Family and Child Therapist (MFT) 1975-2019, and has mediated and resolved over 2,000 disputes involving couples, families, child custody, estates, businesses, real property, and community groups.

Ms. Holley has been a pioneer in promoting mediation in California as a better way of resolving family, child custody, and other legal disputes. She has trained and mentored other mediators since 1978, and has served on the board of many professional organizations, including the Board of Directors of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists (ACFLS) since 1990. She was President of ACFLS for the 2000 term.  She has been a member of the San Francisco Collaborative Law Practice Group for more than 20 years ago, and the San Francisco Bar Association Family Law Section since 1979.  Ms. Holley was voted by her peers as a Northern California Super Lawyer in 2006 and 2007 and she received the honor of being the recipient of the ACFLS Hall of Fame Award in 2011 in recognition of her work in mediation to resolve family and child custody matters peacefully.
