More About Bluestone Faircloth & Olson, LLP

"Why sit by when you can participate?"  This has been Marshall's motto for years.  Marshall has been active in multiple youth volunteer organizations in our community. Coaching became a yearly cycle for him with three boys of his own involved in baseball, basketball, soccer, wrestling and football.   In his latest coaching endeavors, he lead the Rincon Valley Jr. All-Stars to the State Tournament losing in the State Championship game, taking second place in State.   Marshall spent years on the United Way of the Wine Country Board of Directors and has volunteered to tutor reading at a local elementary school through the United Way's "Schools of Hope" program.  [In fact, you should try it yourself to see how satisfying it is for the student as well as the tutor!]  Marshall also served many years on the Board of Directors for Tomorrow's Leaders Today (TLT), a teenage leadership program, and served on its programming committee.  He is a graduate of Leadership Santa Rosa, served for years on the Board of Rincon Valley Little League and is currently on the Vipers Baseball Board of Directors.

Marshall obtained his B.A. Degree from the University of California at Davis in 1987 and graduated magna cum laude from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1990.  Marshall began his pratice in San Francisco with the firm of Bronson, Bronson & McKinnon.   While in law school, he was an extern with the Sonoma County Superior Courts and knew that Sonoma County was where he wanted to practice and has been part of the community for over three decades.   He regularly volunteers as a panelist for the Superior Court Pro Tem Settlement Conference Program, was an officer on the Family Law Steering Committee and participates in presentations for the Sonoma County Bar Association's Education Committee.   He regularly practices in both Federal and State courts with emphasis in employment, civil rights, personal injury, real estate, family law, public entity and business litigation and estate planning.  He also represents several businesses in Sonoma County.   Marshall conducts trials in both Federal and State courts trying his first case in 1996 and has argued cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and First District Court of Appeals on multiple occasions.
