Nancy A. Taylor, a native San Diegan, is a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law. She is a Certified Family Law Specialist, a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has been a named partner in the law firm of Hargreaves & Taylor since its inception in January 1996.

Over the years Nancy’s practice has transitioned from the litigation of family law matters to handling various methods of Consensual Dispute Resolution (CDR). She is not only a trained mediator, but is also a trained Collaborative attorney, having participated in a numerous Collaborative case. She has also trained as a settlement judge for the San Diego County Superior Family Law Courts. Her participation in the Collaborative process has resulted in a significant difference in how she practices and approaches all family law matters. Although a staunch supporter of the CDR process, she recognizes that there are instances where only litigation is the answer.

She is passionate about her work and enjoys working with other attorneys and their clients, assisting them in reaching an amicable resolve. Her approach to handling cases is to discourage ongoing animosity and encourage peaceful and productive communication between the parties, especially when children are involved transitioning from spouses to coparents.
