I'm Karen Marvel, an experienced San Antonio Attorney with a unique passion for child support enforcement that has fueled my career. I handle divorce, custody and child support modification cases. My extensive experience in child support started with 3 years in the Bexar County Child Support Enforcement Office, which contracted with the Texas Attorney General to collect child support for the county. In 1997 I left Bexar County and joined the firm that became Sinkin & Marvel. We litigated child support enforcement cases throughout Texas and handled numerous high profile collection cases on child support for children in their 20s, 30s and 40s as well as the assessment of interest on past due child support. I also handle lots of cases involving special needs children for custody and child support issues. I have a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder so I have experienced many of the issues my clients face with their own children.
In 2015 Brandon Wong and I joined forces to create Marvel & Wong, PLLC. Brandon and I share a passion for creative advocacy, practical solutions to your case and personal service. We believe that your family law attorney should be approachable, passionate, flexible, determined, forward thinking and extremely ethical -- all at the same time. We achieve results with extensive preparation, superior negotiation skills and outstanding trial work.
Brandon and I also believe in giving back to our community. We serve as volunteer mentors for the Community Justice Program of the San Antonio Bar Association. We speak and write frequently as volunteers for continuing legal education seminars for San Antonio and statewide seminars. I have held all offices in the Family Law Section of the San Antonio Bar Association and the San Antonio Family Lawyer's Association. Brandon is the coach for the Marshall HS bowling team and I volunteer in numerous roles with the Churchill HS Charger Band and Indoor Drumline.
